fuck fuck FUCK!

In the grand tradition of things kicking me when i'm down, yesterday my car did something i've never experienced in a car before ever.
I was accelerating and the car folded it's arms and said "no thanks....i like 25 mph"
i parked at the gym and had a really disappointing workout because all the machines i like were taken except for the treadmills which i think are responsible for my achey knee so i did 10 minutes on them and then 18 on this stupid bike that was more like one of those recumbant bikes which i didn't like at all.
and then the weight room was really crowded!!! i don't know if there was some kind of event going on, but i wasn't having it. so i changed and went to my car and was greeted by the 'service engine' light.
which was thankfully not blinking, just staring. but i don't know what to do. i can't get it into a shop before tuesday, i'm sure. with the holiday. and even if i got it into a shop, how could i pay for it?
i have no idea if it's ok to drive at all, and i kind of need to. i need to get a painting to the warehouse tonight by 7:30 and then next weekend is adams morgan day so i need to get my crap and colleens crap up there.
and this definitely rules out going to baltimore tomorrow for the opening of the store that has my dolls.
fuck why did this have to happen now...
