the movie fucking sucks

idiotic things people say that make me instantly hate them episode #319:

" Pretty Woman is my favorite movie".

Beth B funfact #617: this actually was the favorite movie of one of my dear friends (and best friends) in college. she has gone on to marry an ex-boyfriend of mine and produce one and one-half kids (one is still in the oven).
i only have even seen this movie in protest in a youth hostel in florence italy in 1994 where they screened the most worn copy probably ever only making the experience that much more painful.
i also remember drinking coke out of impossibly tiny cans. the hostel was really gorgeous and had a vineyard and an incredibly long driveway and plaster cartouches over the doorways and well painted frescos. and probably the only movie it owned was pretty woman which they probably played weekly hence the scratchy and dappled copy showing in their basement.
