leave me alone!

my friend B christine McD is coming to town today. When i got into my car this morning, i snapped on the radio and some stupid spin doctors song was playing which is funny because she did the costumes for it way back in the day.
don't hold that against her 'tho. she has excellent taste in music. i swear.
today has been a day of monumental technological failures. everywhere, everything. The fax machine, my email to installers....not other people, just the ones i've been trying to schedule installs with...at two different companies! it's so totally weird.
and extremely frustrating. and it's not helping that i just had a lot of chocolate.
my house is a mess, but i'm trying to not freak out about it. i mean, if you're going to stay at someone's house days before christmas, you'd better expect a little mess, right?
yeah. that's what i'm telling myself.

when i get back from christmas, i don't want to see anybody. i don't want anyone needing me to help them move/find/clean anything, let them in anywhere, help them find anything, bake anything.
i just want to leave work, go to the gym and go home. that's it. i'm tired of people.

i think i had a bit of a christmas rush on etsy. sunday i had three orders, tuesday 2 and wednesday one, although the wednesday order turned into three moustaches.
it was kind of aweseome, but also kind of overwhelming.
i need to set up my life to deal with that. not always expecting that amount, but not have it be the big issue it was when it happened. Although it did make me discover the joys of the USPS website. really. it's so easy! you can even order supplies and they're free. how amazing is that?
also? i got a haircut tuesday after forever. i even had a person yesterday at CVS tell me i had a pretty haircut. i don't know if she recognized me or not, or could tell or whatever, but it made me feel good.
