being nice discount

for lunch i had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. and it was the greatest sandwich ever.
i think the last time i had one, pengland (not his real name, but his email alias) made fun of me for being cliche in his 'i-roll-my-own-cigarettes' brand of australian hotness. i said 'do you eat vegemite?' and he said yes and i said 'well, then same to you'.
i'm also having a mini bag of the cadbury mini-eggs which are probably my favorite candy ever.

it really doesn't take a whole lot to make me happy. keeping me happy, however, i think is a whole 'nother matter.

the post has established a DC cab (not the movie) metered fare proposal which i checked out. previously to get home it was 2 zones and 8.80 from roughly the area of the hill where i like to go drinking. it's actually a little more than a dollar less now with the proposed meter...now that fenty dropped the pick up fee to a more reasonable figure and did away with the extra passenger fee.
i have to admit, it might make me more apt to take cabs now...or at least when it goes into effect. if it does.

also, i went to the mall yesterday to check out the shoes at nordstrom which didn't have whate i wanted, and i found a clarks store and they had a shoe i liked and it was on sale. and i was patient with the lady since she was the only one working there and she gave me an additional 15% off for being nice! making my shoes, like, 65% off. it was awesome.
so yeah, sometimes it pays to be nice...or at least gets you discounts sometimes
