no chicago this summer. probably.
I think the mayor is on to all my good parking tricks. and i'm pissed! all of a sudden signs are popping up on streets that won't let you park on them! not even for 2 hours! if you don't live in that zone, you're fucked! c'est tout! and most of those effing signs are around the building where i work and my gym! my gym which has on average one parking space for 23.3 gay dudes. and there are about 1,742 gay dudes at my gym. the good side to that is 'the hills' are coming back so i can go back to late monday nights at least. and i've found that looking at marc jacobs clothing will sustain me for 40 minutes on the elliptical thingie. also- John Currin. the tv's were out last night so i grabbed an ex-issue of the new yorker (incidentally, if anyone has it (i think the date was the 23rd or 28th of january) and you'd like to rip it out and give it to me, i'd appeciate it. as it would be nice to read it again while i'm not sweating and flailing about) and spent an extra 15 minutes on the elliptical thing reading about john currin's new line of paintings. I saw his restrospective at the Whitney 5 years ago. the image of bea arthur topless still haunts me, but i think his stuff is brilliant. Pitchfork is looking severely lackluster. I love M ward, but not enough to fly halfway across the country. plus, i am pretty sure that seeing PE do 'it takes a nation...' would...just....there's just been too much time and too many seasons of 'flavor of love' for me to disassociate that record, great as it is, from all the idiocy from its people post-release. plus, i had two kinda clarifying moments this weekend, and one of them involved going back to paris, so money needs to be saved for that. the second was about being less of a hater which means hanging out with some people less or being more positive or i'm not really sure yet, except for i know that it involves one thing for sure and i need to do that. absolutely.
