punish thy sefl
last night was the 'launch' party for the crystal city planes. as nice as it would have been to sip some champagne and get my ego stroked a little (especially when right now, all I'm getting are negative and neutral comments)(not about my plane, just stuff in general)but I was working 'til 5:30 and the party only went until 6, so I went home and worked on taxular organiziation and fell asleep without dinner. So, in effect, I punished myself. nice.
It was a long day of lugging art around to 6 offices so i didn't feel totally bad about not going to the gym last night. I did wake up in time to watch the hills.
D left for Brazil last night after informing me he's going yesterday morning. He was getting back from work (i'm guessing) as i was leaving for work. I don't know how long he'll be gone. I hope I get into art star (applied today) and can take over the house for my crafting empire again. and start my garden.
I'm totally behind on all that jazz since it's been cold and rainy. great for prolonging the blooms on all the daffodils and tulips (seriously, i can not remember a more glorious year for daffodils around here)
the first few days by myself in the house are always kinda spooky. then i take a bath in the downstairs tub which is weird and awesome. my upstairs tub is normal and super-deep which is also awesome. but the downstairs one is a big square with a slightly shallow diagonal tubby-part. it's just great.
This morning as i got dressed I had a pang of 'i miss my old job' because i really wanted to wear my turquoise Minutemen shirt that I'm finally able to wear again. still with a cardigan over it, because that shirt has shrunk some, but still....
hey, my left palm just itched.
i hope that's good news.
