I think i've successfully talked myself out of going to the beach. It would be a 4 hour drive and I don't want to put my car through that in the heat scheduled for this weeked.
I did take friday off which will be nice. There's a few shows at the national gallery that I want to catch.
This week has been insanely busy. It's probably not great that I'm taking friday off, but I'm about to explode.
Between panels and calls for artists deadlines and artists that need so much hand holding it's making me crazy I'm about to explode.
Also making me explode- spike 'the hat' from top chef opened a new hamburger place on the hill last week. i was at the douchey wine bar for a friend's birthday and was hungry so after two drinks, we went down the block. The hat himself was actually there (in person: far cuter, seemed much more humble than what i saw from the few episodes i actually watched on tv) working behind the counter.
The music was kinda bad (Boston and santana)the burgers were not great. the fries were pretty good and the toasted marshmallow milkshake (seriously- i went all out grossitude last night) was divine. i would go back. Probably in a month. and if the burger is the same, that will be the last time i go. mr. henry's makes a great burger. maybe i can get some fries to go.
tonight i'm going to have my newcastle brown ale before someone else finishes it.
