screw the J. F. thompson cab company

I'm so fucking pissed right now, i can hardly even type. all i'm gonna say is, it should be illegal for cabs *not* to put their phone numbers on their cars, so when they nudge you from behind at busy intersections, you, as a person should be able to call the company and rail the fuck out of the driver. and demand an apology. and maybe their license. definately their license. yeah. and their head on a plate.

oh i am so fucking fucking fucking angry and they're not in any phone book or information bank. and now i know why. i just should have followed that mother fucker until he stopped.

The company is (was) J.F. Thompson. cab number 569. brown cabs with tan writing. if you see them, fuck, if you see any cab, give them the finger for me. i sure did. it was a DC cab company.i should call the better business bureau

i'm gonna go away and count to ten...million.....see you.

Ok, i'm better, but marginally.

On to bigger and better things.

One of the reasons i love DC, is because there really is a good amount of patronage of the arts.(for example, more tickets were sold to plays combined, than all DC area sporting events- combined. that's really important to note) There's not enough, and sadly, there probably never will be, but at least for the time being there are happenings like 'the art-o-matic', happening this year, in the old hechinger building in tennlytown. Before home depot moves in, they're letting an arts coalition kinda squat in there; where 500 artists can have their work displayed for almost a month. it's a non-juried exhibit and it's not just visual arts. i'm working with two of my friends on a production of the Ionesco's 'the rhinoceros'. i'm either doing the set or making the rhinos. i dunno, but i'm pretty excited about it- it's going to happen in the old greenhouse and the accoustics are amazing! way rad. But there's also going to be "avant garde performance art" (uh- that was an actual quote from this morning's walk-through) (and yeah, even i shuddered)Sometimes i find performance art to be really inspiring. in a way, i guess that's how i view a lot of these diaries. Many many people with more time and patience than i have, have created beautiful and fun pages; and even more are offering important glimpses into their lives while perhaps you're reading about musicians or artists and writers and philosophers you may not have stumbled over in your own travels. this whole on line diary thing is very 21st century pop culture. it's actually becoming comon now, but that's great! i think this is such an engaging form of self expression what many people are taking to levels by including art and music and freedom of expression. and it's even better when people write you back (guest book- hint hint hint)(scroll down, you'll find it)

But if you would like to be part of the art-o-matic, look up their webpage at www.artomatic.org that should clear up questions for you.

If you're interested in helping, but not exhibiting, there's also going to be a good amount of sweat equity needed in setting up the blocks of areas for the ehibiting artists. really simple and basic building and stuff. you should help. i think it's gonna be cool.

Meanwhile, i gots me some paintings to work on.

xoxo
