bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- what to do, what to do... So, this 2000-and-One-thing, we have here. I don't know what to do with it, and one twelfth of it is almost gone already. Stores won't be closed on the sunday because of the superbowl right? i'm hoping i can grocery shop with impunity then. i find that adding 'with impunity' to mundane tasks makes it just *that* much more exciting. I'm pretty sick of this weather, in the emotional sense, not in the health status sense because then no. i'm not sick. hoo-fucking-ray for flu shots. this time last year i was sick as a dog. Last saturday as some people were swearing in the idiot hole and others were swearing at him, it was the wettest dankest chilliest day ever. it was the kind of weather that really makes you think you'll never see spring again. which i'm hoping is not mother nature's metaphor for the next four years. last night, between Pop Stars (yeah yeah yeah, get off your high horse) and Law and order i cleaned my bathroom. i rearranged pictures in my hallway. today, i am going to clean my living room area. all in celebration of the chinese new year. there's some folklore that says clean on the eve of, and you'll sweep away bad luck, but don't sweep (and i guess clean) on the new years day or you'll sweep away the good luck. i even dusted and pledged my Shishi. at least, i think it's a Shishi. it's very similar to one i saw in a book on Japanese (yeah, i'm mixing my countries, i'm sorry) folk art. anyway, i have her pointed toward my door to protect me at home. right on. i'm off xox beth b. ps. if you have a new crush boy, is it wrong to enter his name into the computer and see what happens and then holy hannah! there he is? i don't want to ruin all of the surprises....which will probably be nuthin' cause......just cause, i don't feel like going into it now. 13:36:44 - 2001-01-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
