you igby, are no squid and the whale...

i watched the notorious bettie page and the dangerous lives of alter boys this morning. mostly with ryan.
bettie page was pretty great, and hats off to the costume designer for getting the eyebrows on the ladies right. it really irks me to watch a period-piece movie and the eye brows are still in whatever year the movie was made in. i wish they could have done something with the hair of the english guy.

oh lord, don't tell anyone, but the internet radio just played a kaiser chiefs song and i had to check to see what it was because i thought "what ted leo song is this?".

dangerous lives of alter boys was too long. and had vincent d'onofrio in a role named "father casey". also, the 2nd keiran culkin or whatever roll movie in 2 weeks. it's pretty much igby-2 which i wasn't super crazy about. if it hadn't been made 3 years prior, i would say igby was trying to (and losing at) being a squid and the whale copy.
but S&W is deleriously painful, insightful and clever.
