bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dreams do come true. sorta. i am shivering and don't feel all that well. i stopped at a bar on my way home tonight because there was an accident on the bridge and i didn't want to sit in traffic, so i nursed a small beer and read a few chapters in 'the children's hospital' which is really really great so far. except i hate the name "jemma", i don't know why. i had a dream about a guy who was an undergrad when i was a grad student. i don't know why i had a dream about him...maybe cause i've been listening to a lot of ska lately and we met because i was in the drafting room listening to the voodoo glow skulls some 11 (yikes) years ago and he burst in and started 'insubordination' with them. needless to say it was smit at first sight. he had a band that was really really good. in the dream it was kinda new yearsy and i was with kc and we were at this speakeasy thing and there was this really funny burlesque number that was only funny because this one dumb girl got all caught up in the curtain that was strands and strands of pearls, so we leave and i ran into erin e (the dude) and he pretty much looked the same. his hair was curly and he was drunk in my dream but he was still in bands, so today at work, i googled him and got a resonse for a chicago newpaper (not the sun) and apparently there was an article on him today. something about lions and helmets and bears (oh my) (had to. sorry). 10:37 p.m. - 2007-01-25 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
