i want all that stupid old shit, like letters and sodas.

So the install at the DMV went well...except the installer folks didn't bring an extension cord. They seemed a bit wifty, but they were finished by 3:40 or so and part of me considered ditching the rest of the day and see a movie, but i was a responsible kid and went back to the office for about an hour and a half.
and then i went to the longest dinner ever (thank god for sangria) but hey, i hardly had to talk at all...
so, i guess that's good. it was like 2 straight hours of dredging up forgotten home-ec antics (for real). the only good part was talking about the house i grew up in and remembering the cure lyrics i scrawled on the underside of the top bunk in my room which had built-in bunk beds.

those beds were really cool.
now i kinda wish i had taken a picture of the underside of the bed. it wasn't a great feat of art...stupid song lyrics, phone numbers, doodles...lots of vines.
i think the only part that i ever really covered was this stupid note an old boyfriend left and after the ridiculously long break up, i obliterated any traces of him. which, i mean, that's what you do when you're 16.

if i ever have kids i think i will teach them differently. i think it's important to save love notes. whether they came from boys you liked or not. after all, you never know when you'll get another one.
