The kitten is kind of a superstar. he's super calm and not bitey. he just wants attention and devin is being super cool about letting him stay in the basement until today. I'm working on kitten-proofing the extra bedroom/storage junk room upstairs for him. Devin said he wouldn't mind him staying. I think the kitten is actually deaf so he might be perfect for him.
Mostly i'm glad devin is open to letting the little guy hang out if mom doesn't want him. she's against a male cat, but seriously, this cat is a superstar.
I'm glad i took today off to recover from yesterday. crafty bastards takes a lot out of you! afterwards colleen and i went to uni for the crack sushi (which...maybe that's a tradition now? CB and then Uni? sadly, no stories about having a cat thrown in your face in madagascar or wherever. just some girls who actually said "BTW" instead of taking the .43 seconds it would take to actually say "by the way"
The only low point from the whole day was the roving band of acapella dorks from GW. I mean, seriously kids....take that shit somewhere else- it's so rude to show up uninvited and pull that shit. last year a brass marching band showed up and a preacher guy with a megaphone. both wildly sucked.
I couldn't hear the main DJ- just the one in the skate park area who had one cd by the following bands- jimmy eat world. spoon. franz ferdinand. rolling stones. rhcp.modest mouse. maybe something else- oh the killers.
he wasn't great but he wasn't terrible. apparently for the spring one, the person who organized the talent forgot her CDs and only had the beastie boys. I wasn't in that section, but friends who were said "i never want to hear the beastie boys again".
It's crazy how big crafty bastards has become...but it's also pretty great. i hope it continues.
the kitten has been moved upstairs. he's taking it all in and is particularly mystified by the ceiling fan.
