bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- again with the damn car so....oh man...this weekend. it's tuesday and i'm still exhausted. Let's talk about friday, shall we? So....I leave work, drive to my apartment, pack, return movies, go to the bank, and i'm about to get on the baltimore/washington parkway and the 'service engine soon' light pops on, so i pull off at work, because it's close and i call my mom and she says 'oh it's probably nothing, my car does it, your grandmother's car does it blah blah blah' so i go back out to the car and it won't start. Now, dear readers, i know what you're asking....but beth b, didn't you just have a new starter put in your car a mere 2 weeks ago? Why, yes! Yes i did! However, ther starter was not the issue this time. *this* time, it was some air-flow intake valve thing. and yes, it was another 300 dollars, thanks for asking. But anyway, they figured out at 5:38 on friday afternoon that they couldn't get the part until saturday, so i had to repack my bags, and one of the guys drove me to the metro station and i metro-ed to the train station and made a fucking train to philly by the skin of my teeth, and all in all, i got to my parents house by 11 pm. I called my mom at 9 from the station and asked her to tape law and order for me and she did. she's a good mom. Megan and adam got married. No problems...there were some truly odd moments however...like 'their song' or whatever they dance to they chose some 'love song for a vampire' from the movie Brahm stoker's Dracula...and neither megan nor adam are goth..i mean *at all* they are so normal and conservative. plus, i'm sorry, but that movie bites it. big time. but you know what doesn't bite- is the new burning airlines record 'identikit'. um, no it's not out yet, but let's just say that my friend Miss J rules it. a lot. i can not stop listening to that damn cd. i think j. robbins is taking voice lessons. i do. check out track 4 when you get it. and i know you will. because i told you to. Oh! and also, the GoGo's 'talk show'. why didn't i realize what a good bassist Jane Weildlin is until now? her lines are so solid. i'm hungry...what's for breakfast? xoxo beth b. ps: in light of recent car events, wantingthis is looking pretty silly. but it isn't stopping me from saving up for it. nope. 9:36 a.m. - 2001-04-24 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
