bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that's going to cost you a shit load of karma i didn't to go the ted leo/quasi show yesterday....it was such a nice quiet day that i just wanted to nap and play with my cat, have my tire fixed...etc... sears, by the way, rocks the tire patching. 15 bucks. i hope it lasts. and, american economy, you should know that i bought two shirts at old navy while awaiting my tire's patching and revenling in the fact that i was only spending 15 bucks, as opposed to the affeared 60 or so. so...yay. tire fixed...new attire acquired. you wanna hear something crappy? my brother scott was working at a newspaper in New Hope pa, and had a seizure on his way there while he was driving. he's fine, the car wasn't, and more-over, the company fired scott because he no longer had a driver's license. so, because scott was fired, he received unemployment (126 dollars) before he started his new jobs (now he's working 3) Now, this newspaper decides to take scott to court to get back the 126 bucks because they feel he should have quit or something, because you needed a license to have this job and thus doesn't deserve the 126 dollars. is it just me, or is that the dumbest thing in the world? i hope that in the karmatic world, the woman running this paper gets what she deserves - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
