Happy new year!

Getting ready to close the door on 2015. Sometimes I can't believe the numbers that my fingers have to type. I still remember sitting in my elementary school cafeteria, calculating how old I would be (27) when the calendar flipped to 2000. And now it's 15 years beyond that. Soon to be 16.
Can we take a minute to think about that? People born AFTER THE YEAR 2000 WILL BE BEHIND THE WHEELS OF CARS THIS YEAR. I know with each year brings a new wave of eager 16 year olds to drive, but there's something very alienating about the thought of 2000-born babes careening around the nation's highways and by-ways.

What else will 2016 bring? Flowers. Secret powers you didn't know you had but others always knew. New skills, new interests, new adventures and maybe the chance to hug an otter or 3. Here's to new characters, plot twists, and a dark horse or three.
Run races, hold hands, kiss freely, and wiggle your toes in a creek or three.
