bethb's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i've gotta see some masons about their temple... you know what? i have a temper. and as of late, my temper has been directed at the ikea in woodbridge shopping center. so....don't piss me off! or you will get the surliest 2 page complaint letter ever stapled together in the history of Ikea. i should have copied it, it was so good. i'll sum it up to say that ikea? not so bright....none of them. and i was so super tired of dealing with them, and i told them so and i hope to never have to set foot in their store ever again. potterybarn, however, couldn't be nicer in trying to help me locate 16 of these lanterns i need for a show. score card: pottery barn- 3 ikea - negative 5 also- i dunno. went to the kirov opera on sunday. the woman who played lady macbeth was magnificent. macbeth himself- ehhhh.... the set was very very typically (i think) russian, but an excellent use of the space.. the costume design was ok. i don't want to jinx this, but i'm working on a 'punk rock' opera with the amazing mr. bob massey (telegraph melts/ the gena rowlands band) that tenatively (?) right now, mr. dan h. of lungfish is writing the libretto and david W. (erin & barb- YES!!!! that david w.) will be doing some film stuff. when bob asked me, i practically jumped out of my skin to say yes. and at that point, i didn't know about the dan h. factor. actually, i have a really funny pic of him from this past summer at ft. reno when he and Asa played as the pupils. it's dan crouched down and facing back at me, giving me the hairy eyeball. anyway, i've got to go see some masons about their temple as a possible venue. you know, there's a joke in there somewhere, but i'm too busy trying to do 9 things, so if you can find it let me know. i could use a laugh.... 10:10 a.m. - 2002-02-26 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
