i finished two paintings and took (bad) photos and uploaded them on a artsies-for-dcsies website because every two years, there's this big jumble called 'art o matic' and the heart of it is very cool- it's unjuried and it takes about a month in a building that's usually vacated by something (previous AOMs have happened in laundromats (now a school), hechinger hardware (now a best buy/container store/lux condos), old (sick) EPA building (still....um...there. nothing's happened with it)and lastly an old convent that was turned into a kids museum which is moving to a new locale, and is now on its way to being turned into more luxury condos.
so they were unable to find a hosipitable site for 2006 so some galleries in bethesda might pick some AOM artists from the on-line gallery on the artdc site.
so, that's cool.
it's not like my stuff is good....but at least it's not some fucking crumpled paper and a uter-lope.
