a boring entry about walking

oh ohio house motel....why are you so less charming this year?
i think they had- uh....rennovations? i don't know what else to call it- gone is the 60's faux french provincial furniture (which i realize is probably not charming to anyone who isn't a woman in her thirties) but also, after entering the first room which wasn't ready and the second room where the wireless signal wasn't strong enough and also above the laundry room so the hallway was no lie, 95 degrees and now the third room- meh. the airconditioning is much less magical than last summer.
all the furniture has been replaced with boring pine....not even furniture...it's like boards on brackets holding up the "desk" and "tv stand". and possibly little pine tables from ikea as nightstands.
oh sigh.
i have plans with mike to go to hot doug's tomorrow for lunch forgoing our usual tank noodle dinner.
i checked out the renegade store which said "back in 5 minutes" so i kept walking down to damen and then walked down damen to chicago to go to rotofugi and then took the bus back up to division. and now i'm beat. i wanted to take advantage of a free night at the art institute but it's almost 7...i think? my computer is still on east coast time but I am effing *beat*
